Year of Consecrated Life August 6th 2015.

It is with great thanksgiving to God that the Sisters of Adoration Belfast announce joyful news. On Thursday 6th August 2015, the Feast of the Transfiguration, their new Sisters Elaine Kelly and Martina Purdy will be received as Novices and Anne Cahalan will be received as a Postulant into the Congregation at the Adoration Convent, Falls Road Belfast. A private ceremony will be followed by a Mass of Thanksgiving at 12 noon open to all, followed by refreshments. . (

Elaine is from West Belfast and was a practising Barrister for 23 years before leaving to join the Sisters of Adoration; Martina is also originally from West Belfast and last October left the BBC as their NI Political Correspondent to enter the Congregation. Anne is from Tipperary and worked as a secretary before joining the Sisters of Adoration.

The Superior General Mother Mary Josephine and the Congregation rejoice in this answer to prayer for vocations especially during this year of Consecrated Life, a blessed time for the whole Congregation and the Church. Please keep our new sisters in your prayers
