The Rise of the Roses Team warmly invites you to join them in  Knock on Saturday 15thAugust, 2015 for a special day to mark the close of the Rise of the Roses Summer Tour, celebrating Consecrated Religious Life in Ireland.

Archbishop Eamon Martin will lead the day of thanksgiving with the celebration of the Eucharist in the Basilica at 3pm.

They are also planning workshops/tea parties in the Rest & Care Centre at 12pm & 6pm (with Religious Sisters and Brothers as their guest speakers).  There will be children’s activities throughout the day around the theme of ‘Consecrated life’ and the team intend to join in all the wonderful, traditional Novena ‘events’ on that special feast day of the Assumption of Our Blessed Mother.

The Roses Tour began in Faughart on June 13th and continued on consecutive Saturdays throughout the Summer.  Whilst their mission focused on Religious Life for women, and the tour was limited to ten Convents, they are hoping that the celebrations in Knock will be much broader, with lots of Religious Communities represented.

You can visit their website www.riseoftheroses.org and Facebook page for lots of

photos, videos and features about their adventures ‘on tour’!

We do hope you can join with the team as we give thanks for the gift of Consecrated Religious Life to the Church, as we pray with and for our Religious Brothers and Sisters, and they look forward in excited anticipation to what God has in store for Religious Communities in Ireland in the future.
