The Executive of Vocations Ireland would like to offer their sincere sympathies to those Congregations who have sadly lost members of their communities to COVD19
It is particularly sad to lose someone who has been in a nursing home and therefore the community and family members have not had the opportunity to say goodbye.
These are difficult days for everyone, but we will stay united in prayer.
As Director of Vocations Ireland I have placed a candle in my kitchen window and this will remain lit for the remainder of lockdown This will be in memory of all religious who are currently in nursing homes away from their communities and those caring for them.
I will pray Pope Francis prayer for protection from coronavirus as I begin and end my day at the office here at home.
