The Dominican Sisters mission in Iraq is one of presence & support.   There is so much bombing and destruction around that they found the most important help that was needed was to support the women buying nappies and milk for the babies.  For the men they find it important to be with them, listen to them and hold their anger.  The men are so frustrated and angry at being unable to keep their women and children safe.  A very difficult and painful mission but one where “prayer and presence” is so important.
