We follow the Rule and Life of St. Francis of Assisi. We live in community. We pray together and we work together. Inspired by the example of our Capuchin Franciscan saints, like Padre Pio, Leopoid Mandic and many others, centre our lives on the Eucharist, meditation and prayer. Capuchins engage in a wide range of activities. We work in parishes, schools, hospitals, hospices and many other places at home and on the missions. Because we are Franciscans we reach out in a special way to the poor and homeless through our work in the Capuchin Day Centre for the Homeless in Church Street, Dublin. As a Capuchin, you can be either a Brother or a Priest.

Being a Capuchin Friar is not a career nor a profession…it’s a state of mind…it’s a way of life…it’s a vocation.
