On Saturday 19^th October 2013, (10am to 5pm) there will be an opportunity for those discerning a vocation to Poor Clare monastic life, to spend the day at the Poor Clare Monastery in Galway to experience first-hand what this way of life is about.  It is also a chance for individuals to meet with sisters in person and to take part with the sisters in prayer.

Those aged between 20 and 40, who feel that God may be calling them to religious life and would like to take part, may contact us, giving a phone number or an email address at which they can be contacted. (Pre-booking is essential).

Explore God’s call for you…

exploreAway is a programme which provides the opportunity for young, single, men and women between the ages of 21-40, who are interested in exploring religious life and the priesthood in a reflective and prayerful environment.  exploreAway aims to provide input, support and accompaniment to participants who are discerning their call, be it to priesthood or to religious life.  Participants are invited to embark on this journey of exploration in the company of others who are also searching.  The programme involves five residential weekends based in Dublin.  The weekends will provide input on vocation call, discernment, prayer and religious life – its core values and the various ways it is lived.

If you are interested in finding out more about exploreAway, come and join us on Sunday 15th September 2013 from 2-6pm in St. Teresa’s Church, Clarendon Street, Dublin 2 to get a taste for what it is all about.  It promises to be an informative and relaxed afternoon with some good pizza and chat to follow!

On Saturday 29th June 2013 the Vocation Director of the Franciscans is organising a Mass and prayers for vocations in the Franciscan Friary, Merchants Quay to mark the Year of Faith. 

The afternoon will begin with Mass at 2pm followed by exposition of the Blessed Sacrament concluding at 2pm. 

You are invited to join in this afternoon of prayer to ‘ask the Lord of the harvest to send labourers into His harvest’ (Mt 9:38).
