A Celebration on 24th April 7.30p.m. St Michael’s Parish, Blackrock, Cork

Celebrating and Praying for Vocations

The Diocese of Cork and Ross in collaboration with the 31 religious orders, congregations and societies of apostolic life is hosting a celebration to mark the Year for Consecrated Life on Friday 24th April at 7:30pm at Saint Michael’s Parish Church, Blackrock, Cork.  The reflection will be given by Andrew O’Connell.

The celebration will tell the story of consecrated life in the diocese over the centuries and will end with a blessing of seeds then given to a parishioner from each parish to take back to their

Parish to celebrate a ritual of planting the seed of vocation -= a reminder to all people that the seed of vocation is planted in families and parish communities.  Parishes will tend and nurture the seeds and will then host a local celebration when the harvested seeds from these plants will be given to families to plant in their gardens.
