About Us

Welcome to Vocations Ireland

Who We Are

Vocations Ireland is an association of the Vocation Directors of the Catholic Religious Orders in Ireland. We work to present religious life, apostolic, missionary and contemplative, as a life choice that is one way of following Christ and bringing deeper meaning and purpose to life.

Brother Kevin Mascarenhas

Brother Kevin is a Presentation Brother working with refugees and asylum seekers. He is very passionate about justice issues. Being able to meet young people and listening to them is another very important of this ministry.

Sister Patricia Murphy

Sister Patricia Murphy

Sister Patricia is a member of the Sisters of Charity of St. Paul the Apostle, based in the UK. Her dream for Vocations Ireland is to become more involved in finding new ways of meeting young people where they are, to support them as they discern where the Lord is leading them, and to journey with them as they strive to become the best person God has created them to be.

Sister Suzanne Nguyen

Sister Suzanne Nguyen

Sister Suzanne was born in Vietnam and raised in France. She is a Franciscan Missionary of Mary who has worked extensively with youth and vocations in France. After moving to Ireland in 2024, she is working in a parish with young people. She also has a group of Vietnamese young people who come together for prayer and reflection.

Sister Eileen is a Dominican Sister from Cork, living in Dublin. She enjoys many different activities: walking in beautiful places, cycling, blogging, doodling, baking, talking about ideas, dogs, nature, Scriptures, poetry, words, music, the sea, the hills, God, coffee and chocolate (but not in that order!).
